Job Description

QuantalRF is seeking a highly motivated individual to play a key technical role in the development and evolution of its emerging RF/wireless technology. The ideal candidate will have strong RFIC design with experience in circuit simulation, testing, and optimizing on the system from DC to 6 GHz. They will also have the ability to think out-of-the-box and interface seamlessly with other members of the engineering design team. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Design RFIC circuits, analog circuits, and communication systems from DC to 6 GHz
  • Evaluate implementation of QuantalRF technology in various silicon processes
  • Lead tape out of test chips in various silicon processes
  • Work with customers on requirements for integration of QuantalRF technology
  • Develop customer guidelines for integration of QuantalRF technology into silicon designs
  • Apply development experience in all R&D phases of the product design from concepts to product to market

Required Skills and Experience

  • MS-EE preferred, with 5+ years of experience in relevant fields
  • Expertise in RFIC design, from DC to 6GHz – design, simulation, characterization, component modeling
  • At least one successful RFIC product design and implementation in an RF receiver
  • Proficient in circuit simulation software, such as Cadence or Synopsys
  • Good verbal/written English communication

Additional Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Good knowledge of system design
  • Wireless communications knowledge, such as: OFDM, LTE, 802.11, Bluetooth, ZigBee
  • Working knowledge of Matlab
  • Mixed mode digital-analog experience is a plus
  • Experience in working in one or more startup companies
