Job Description

QuantalRF is seeking a highly motivated individual to play a key technical role in the development and evolution of its emerging RF/wireless technology. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background, strong skills in RF innovation, an ability to develop patents, out-of-the-box-thinking and the ability to interface seamlessly with members of the engineering design team. This individual will play a very key thought leadership role in evolving QuantalRF’s technology and patent portfolio and can become a recognized world leader in the next generation of RF architecture. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Work on challenging high-performance circuits and communication architectures that require determination and an excellent knowledge in RF, IF, receivers, analog, communications and circuit design
  • Create innovative and patent-able additions and improvements to QuantalRF technology
  • Design RF, IF, analog circuits, and communication systems from DC to 6 GHz. Validate in simulation and lab
  • Apply development experience in all R&D phases of the product design from concepts to product to market.
  • Be very strong hands-on and capable of developing circuits from scratch to finish
  • Work independently and in a small team of skilled engineers

Required Skills and Experience

  • MS EE is required
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience with RF receivers, system design and circuit design
  • Innovative, experience in creating patentable ideas and/or academic publications
  • Experience in both lab and simulation environments
  • Experience with simulation environments, such as: ADS, Cadence, Synopsys and Matlab
  • Good verbal/written English communication

Additional Desirable Skills and Experience

  • PhD. in EE
  • Design experience in both RFIC and discrete circuits
  • Wireless communications knowledge, such as: OFDM, LTE, 802.11, Bluetooth, ZigBee
  • Experience with regenerative receivers
  • Experience in working in one or more startup companies
